COACHING FOR THE CITY

SENT Network values Connecting Regionally with our church planters. One of the ways we practice this is through one-to-one Coaching. Each planter has a coach/mentor to help him maximum his impact as he starts and leads a gospel-centered church.

Bryan Wintersteen (SENT’s Coaching Director) coaches Steven Dilla, our lead planter in NYC. They connect regularly for coaching calls and face-to-face. Steven and Bryan leverage the online coaching log SENT provides. They track goals together and celebrate progress being made. Not only that, they also connect on heart issues or challenges that are a normal part of planting and making gospel-centered disciples in a place like NYC. Bryan and I recently spent time in NYC visiting with Steven and Emily and their kids. It was great to hear of their love for the people of the City, the good progress being made with planting Metropolitan Faith Church, and to get an update on how well their family is doing. Check out the pics of us with the Dillas on a playground near their apartment in Manhattan, and of Steven’s view from his shared office space there.

We are so thankful for the generous giving that allows SENT to resource church planters like this! Please pray that God will encourage each of our planters through their coach/mentor, and that this will result in even more fruitful expansion of the good news of Jesus throughout the cities, neighborhoods, and subcultures of our region and beyond.

For the gospel,
