Downtown Hope just began renovation on their own building that they purchased recently. Members of this church plant in our Network dedicated themselves to give and work together to see this building transformed for God’s purposes. This community of disciples, led by Joey Tomassoni, are excited to one day use this building for worship gatherings, and as a “24-7” ministry center that serves the people of downtown Annapolis. The building needs work, but they purchased it with a vision of what it would become after it’s fully renovated.
As exciting as this project is, Downtown Hope’s building reminds me of an even greater renovation project in God’s grand plan. God purchased us by the death of his Son, and he now moves into believers’ lives by his Spirit in order to renovate every part of us to be more like his Son. When Jesus returns, he’ll complete this ultimate work of renovation in all of us who belong to him, as well as in his creation (Acts 3:18-21; Rom. 8:18-25; Rev. 21:1-4).
Thanks for partnering with us as our church plants announce the good news that Jesus died to purchase us, and that his resurrection assures us he will fully complete the renovation he’s begun in us!
