Recharge

Posted on: October 3, 2024

Rest, laughter, tears, friendships, corn hole and bocci competition, soul care, teaching, personal reflections, group discussions, and prayer were all part of the recent Lead Planters/Pastors Retreat provided by the TIMES12 Leadership Team.

Jesus invited his tired disciples to “come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while” (Mk 6:31). TIMES12 believes Jesus still invites us to healthy rhythms of work and rest, not just weekly, but periodically for retreats in secluded places because church leaders need reminding that it’s in vain to eat the bread of anxious toil (Ps 127:1-2).

Church planting is grueling start-up work. Even as churches become established and thrive, pastors still need healthy work and rest rhythms. TIMES12 provided our recent retreat to enable lead planters and pastors to recharge and reflect on their interior life with God so they can lead with health in their homes and churches. Check out the pictures below and this short video TIMES12 Retreat (1 min) to get a feel for what some of the lead planters and pastors in TIMES12 experienced.

Thank you for your generous giving that enables TIMES12 to equip and care for church-planting pastors!

Working and Resting in Christ,
Mark
