CRAB FEASTS & TEAMWORK

We closed up our summer after enjoying our annual Crab Feast for church planters. Instead of our normal monthly Collective we changed things up. From time to time we just go for a “no agenda” relational time of fun together. Annapolis is known for great crabs so we shared this back yard cultural experience with our church planter friends from around the region who are part of our Network. Sad to say that Greg St Cyr and I failed to defend as last year’s Bocce championship team. We lost in the final round to worthy opponents…John Davis and Gary Travis from Grace Church of Philly! Our Operations & Administration Team had a less raucous, yet enjoyable lunch on the water to close out our summer. It was great to connect relationally without our normal discussions about budgets, projects, or meeting deadlines. I’m really proud of this team and the excellent “behind the scenes” work they do to serve our planters on the frontlines.

The final transition into September was our two-day annual Leadership Team off-site. This was a very focused time together with a rigorous agenda that we accomplished with lively discussion, unity, and shared focus. We prayed, celebrated and evaluated this past fiscal year. We also prayed and looked forward by setting new challenging goals on how to serve our current church planters as well as new ones who will lock arms with us in our shared mission. We experienced healthy teamwork together and then submitted our proposed annual goals and budget to our SENT Board for their review and approval. We are excited about this coming year as we move into the future under the reign of King Jesus in the power of his Spirit!

Thanks for partnering with SENT Network as we equip church planters to reproduce gospel-centered disciples and churches for the advance of God’s kingdom!
