Too many church leaders are obsessed with their outward performance while minimizing the slowed-down cultivation of their inner lives. If the cracks haven’t already begun showing up, they will for those who do this. Let’s admit, at times, we all experience anxiety, lack self-awareness, have strained relationships, feel isolated, have secret struggles, or strive to succeed to quiet that inner voice that accuses and shames us that we aren’t okay. These are just a few symptoms on our “dashboard” that should alert us to “look under the hood” to become more emotionally healthy as leaders.
TIMES12 (times12.org) is sponsoring the Emotionally Healthy Leader event to help church planters, pastors, and leaders tend to their inner lives in a way that will enable them to bear the weight and pressures of church, work, home, and other responsibilities in a biblically healthy way. If you believe King Jesus wants his reign fully integrated into every aspect of your inner and outer world, join us at the Emotionally Healthy event!
